Last week CTBC had given an opportunity to open the
possibilities of spreading awareness to the world, Spreading awareness and
taking initiative is a big task so the journey started with the students of
RAZI International School.
There were 32 Students and 4 teaching staff’s including The Principal
(Dr. Haris Parengal) from the School also CTBC’s resource persons from
different fields of scientific and non-scientific, CTBC gave one of the best monsoon-camp
for students with the team of Canopy Geospatial Solutions. We spent a wonderful
weekend with students , our team , and CTBC. We are thanking Mitraniketan social
service society for the hospitality.
Program started with a game to revive their stress and we
had given and take interaction started by the principal of RAZI International
School , and followed by Kunjechi patron of Mitraniketan then a small quantitative
talk by Dr. Satheesh Sathyavardhan (CTBC – Senior Advisor , Academician,
Environmentalist & Philosopher). Afternoon section theme was Being wild, students
are then taken to a trekking and nature walk to the forests of Vagamon Hills
leaded by Sandeep Prabhakaran (CTBC – Research Botanist) , Denni Mathew (CTBC -
Volunteer) , Sethu M R (Canopy GS – RS & GIS Eng.) , Andrew Raja Marak (CTBC
– Human Ecologist) from an elevation of 910 to above 1189 m.
2nd Day
Following day started with a glimpse of Yoga by Dr. Satheesh
Sathyavardhan (CTBC – Senior Advisor , Academician, Environmentalist & Philosopher)
and it was a well revived vibe to the students in the valley of Mist and Rain,
Continuing the morning section students had an outdoor interaction on the topic:
Earth Observation and Conservation, followed by interactive section by Andrew
Raja Marak (CTBC – Human Ecologist) on - How to free yourself – How to be yourself
– How to stay positive at all times and To build relationships with other
communities.
Monsoon Camp dismissed by distributing camp participation
certificates.
